Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. Six answers to simple questions—gender, date of birth, your health, tobacco use, desired amount, and term length—are sufficient to show carrier rates. Your name, address, and detailed health information are requested only if you decide to complete an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the premiums that each carrier is quoting based on the health classification you selected. After underwriting, the actual premium may be confirmed, improved, or adjusted by the carrier. This website provides rate quotes only; it is not an insurance offer or a rate guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

After entering your name, the application is built from the quote you selected and transferred to the carriers' secure application system. You have the ability to pause and pick it up later, and signatures are completed online. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), manages the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

This depends on the carrier, coverage amount, and your medical history. Some carriers can issue policies immediately to qualified applicants without an exam; details appear on each quote regarding whether an exam will be required, possibly required, or not needed.

Is a longer term better?

Coverage should last through the years when your dependents would suffer financially if you were not there: your mortgage, children's upbringing, or business obligations. Longer terms have higher monthly costs but guarantee the same rate throughout. You can use the quote tool to compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms.

Does this site sell my information?

No. This website's quote tool never asks for contact information. We protect your privacy: no visitor data is sold or shared, and our site measurement uses no cookies. See our privacy page for complete details on what data is collected and who collects it.
